Metro UI se fait descendre par tout le monde, il n’empêche, il y a du potentiel là-dessous ! Votre version semble de toute beauté. Perso, je suis sous OSX, mais je pense bientôt investir dans un HTPC/gaming, et le “rêve” serait de pouvoir piloter le tout avec un pad sans fil, très probablement celui de PS4, dont des drivers très complets viennent de sortir ici (http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4-… choisir DS4Tool 1.2.2.zip ou plus récent, en bas du 1er post).
Ce qui serait super, serait d’avoir une interface VLC qui “suit” les mouvement du curseur, au lieu de devoir “pousser” l’écran avec le curseur pour avancer. (Je dis peut-être des grosses bêtises, mais c’était comme ça sur le Win8 avec lequel j’ai un peu fait joujou)
Aussi, ce qui rendrait les choses encore plus belles, serait de pouvoir utiliser 100% VLC (réglages complexes à part) juste avec un pad en mode Metro UI. Le D-pad pour seul déplacement dans les menus, X pour oui, O pour back (ou A et B si vous êtes sur un pad xbox). En lecture, les grosses gâchettes (L2/R2) pour » et «, et L1/R1 pour >| et |<. Carré pour STOP, Triangle pour les choix de piste audio/sous titres, O pour mettre/quitter le plein écran (ce qui laisserait imaginer une sorte de mode PiP, genre on quitte le plein écran, on revient à la grille et on peut gérer la liste de lecture pour mieux revenir en plein écran) et X pour play/pause.
Voilà, j’ai fini ma liste au père noël :) C’est juste que XMBC et Cie c’est sympa mais parfois un peu lourd. Imaginez ce VLC, aussi réactif que les menus de la PS3 par ex, ça serait une petite tuerie. Bravo et bon courage à la team VLC, vous assurez depuis de nombreuses années, n’arrêtez jamais.

Congratulations!
One point I’d love to see improved: the all-orange start-up screen is a bit … extreme. I know its your color and all of that, but it is very bright and immediately jumps up and attacks the user when they launch the player. You think you could tone it down just a little?

Is it a killing joke? This release CAN’T be serious, can it?
Seriously, more than a year to get to this shameful result. Sorry to say that this is pathetic to such an extent… you can’t even imagine. Many were waiting for it, many will end extremely disappointed.
This whole farcical tragic-comedy is the evidence that you can’t develop software anymore.
Please, please… do not say you needed to raise funds to release such a sh*t. In 2013/2014, there’s no need for much money to develop a reliable and nice piece of audio/video playing software, all the more in a 12-18 months time. Unknown amateurs do it almost every week with more or less success (browse the Windows Store to find it by yourself). You CAN’T anymore.
This is as pathetic as can be, you treat users with such contempt that one should boycott VLC straight away. I’ll advertize my relatives that way since, as native Windows 8.x apps, there are much better alternatives in 2013/2014.
Too bad the waste of time…

Thanks for the updates and all the super hard work.
One thing is bothering me though; whey do you need to have C99’s inttypes.h, when VS2013 has first-class C99 support (except for tgmath and few other headers). Nonetheless, inttypes.h is available OOTB. See:

Nice job !
Pas mal du tout pour une beta.
Interface rapide et clean.
A part un petit plantage au premier lancement, pas de soucis.
J’ai lu quelques mkv depuis mon NAS => RAS
Ajouté un sous titre => RAS
Avance / changement de position à travers le réseau => RAS
A voir sur le long terme mais c’est déjà nickel en tactile.
Un petit bug :
1°) Lancer une video
2°) aller à une position donnée (ex: 45 min)
3°) revenir un menu par le bouton retour (fleche arriere)
4°) Lancer une autre vidéo
=> La nouvelle vidéo démarre à 45 minutes.
Au chapitre des suggestions, il serait sympa de pouvoir définir les répertoires vidéo et musique (utilisation NAS).
Questions :
- Il y a t’il une page dédiée pour les retours de bugs et suggestions ?
Merci pour le boulot, ne vous laissez pas découragé par les pleureurs et autres trolls.
Moi en tout cas je regrette pas d’avoir contribué d’être un backer sur ce projet.

HD home run prime on the network. Crashes iPad and android app when trying to view with dlna in vlc, so may be related.

It really amazing. This will definitely be the best media player for windows!
One thing i noticed right away, when i browse my video folder, it’s not possible to select *.m4v files. I can just see *.mkv’s

I put this on Kickstarter, but might as well put this here too: For the Windows Phone version please target Windows Phone 8.1! It has way better SD Card support and supports the same WinRT XAML runtime found in Windows 8 and RT. WP8 only supports Silverlight.
